Dora the Explorer

This image illustrates one feature created for the Nickelodeonland extension to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort. A children's water ride called Dora the Explorer. The African Village mud huts were made at a reduced scale, for children. They were carved in concrete, even the wooden door frames and stones you see around the facade are carvings. The plain concrete surface comes alive with the definition that colour can give it.
